Passport information
- 1.All Nepali people living in Denmark are requested to register them self providing a copy of their passport.
It will help them verify their documents if needed. It will also be helpful to issue new passport or travel documents if original passport is lost. Please download a form for registration here. You can register by email also.
- 2.When to apply for new passport
- Check your passport`s validity time to time. (Some people come back from the airport as they do not notice about the validity of his/her passport.)
- Apply for new passport before it expires but not earlier than six months.
- Apply for new passport if there is accidental damage or lost or no blank pages remain for visa or stamp.
- 3.Where to apply?
- You can visit the web site www.mofa.gov.np and find the appropriate embassy visiting Concurrent Accreditations.

Other Embassies can also issue passport. Please contact them before you come or send by post. Embassy of Nepal in Denmark is issuing passport to the Nepali people living in Scandinivian countries.
- 4.How to apply?
- Fill in application form you can download forms from Passport form Embassy of Nepal Denmark or visit www.mofa.gov.np . Please type or use BLOCK LETTERS.
- Submit original old passport and Citizenship Certificate.
- If valid passport is lost, a police report should be obtained and submitted along with application. In case of loss he/she should present in person. The Embassy may also verify documents.
- If applicants wish to send by post, they are requested to send by registered mail along with Passport fees Danish Kroner 500 (it is subject to review from time to time) and postal charge or paid envelope for registered letter and three passport sized photographs above mentioned documents.
- 5.Inclusion of a child`s photo in the parent’s passport
You need to bring or send following:
- Joint application from the parents.
- Birth certificate.
- Two photographs of child
- Relationship verification certificate
- Passport of either parent
- Nepalese citizenship.

- 6.Amendments in the passport and the requirements to be met
Following documents and fee are needed for amendments:
Amendment in surname – Marriage Certificate, Passport and citizenship certificate.
Amendment in profession – Document to proof the claimed profession.
Date of birth, address etc. – Citizenship certificate/documents issued from local authorities.

7.Travel Document
- If passport is lost and required documents are not available for new passport. He/she can apply for one way travel document. She/he must present in the Embassy with available document to proof that he/she is Nepali national.
